Mr. Messer joined Miller + Wells following a clerkship with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit where he was a judicial clerk for the Hon. Eugene E. Siler, Jr.  A graduate of the University of Kentucky, magna cum laude, Mr. Messer was a member of the Law Review while in law school and is the published author of "Open Season on the Journalist's Privilege: Do Recent Rulings Represent a Trend Against Assertions of the Privilege or Proper Applications of Existing Law?" 94 Ky. L.J. 421 (2006).

Mr. Messer handles a number of complex litigation matters for the clients of the firm and works closely with the partners to assist with some of the largest cases within the firm.
