Miller Wells, PLLC is pleased to announce that attorney Garland H. ("Andy") Barr has been elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the Sixth Congressional District of Kentucky. Barr has been serving as Of Counsel in the Lexington office of Miller Wells. Barr has practiced law in both the public and private sectors since graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2001. He defeated incumbent Ben Chandler after narrowly losing to Chandler as the Republican nominee for the same congressional seat in 2010. While employed with Miller Wells, Andy assisted a variety of clients with legal needs ranging from commercial litigation to administrative, energy, real estate and tax exempt debt financing.
